MEMBERSHIP DECAL: Affixed to your entrance, the BBB decal is an emblem which attracts informed, discriminating customers. The BBB membership decal tells your customers and employees that you support and maintain ethical business practices.

MEMBERSHIP PLAQUE: This widely recognized plaque identifies you as a supporting member of the BBB.

WEB SITE: Visitors to www.bbbenc.org have quick access to BBB information. If you are a member and have a website, you will have an automatic link from our page to yours. Visitors can also find helpful tips, and information on over 40,000 businesses locally, and links to other BBBs throughout the U.S. and Canada.

BBBONLINE: This is an optional program which allows you to display the trusted BBB logo on your website. It is an active “click-to-check” logo which gives your customers confidence in dealing with your business on line and will link to your BBB reliability report.

24 HOURS A DAY, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK inquirers may access information about businesses through our Automated Voice Response System (VRS). Most of the calls received at the BBB are from individuals seeking information about companies and charities with which they are considering doing business. Now, they are able to obtain that information at any time.

NEWSLETTER: BusinessLine is published monthly and is for members only. BusinessLine provides BBB members with vital business and consumer information.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION: The BBB helps in resolving consumer complaints using conciliation, mediation and arbitration services when appropriate.

MEMBERSHIP ROSTER/CONSUMER GUIDE is an annual publication distributed throughout Eastern North Carolina. Consumers are encouraged to refer to this list of BBB members to assist them in making purchasing decisions.

BBB MEMBERSHIP IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM (MIP) is an optional program which allows members to use the trusted BBB name and torch logo in their advertising. Certain restrictions apply.

SPEAKERS BUREAU: The Bureau provides qualified BBB officials who speak to business and civic groups, schools and colleges to make them aware of the BBB, its services and benefits. Speakers are also available to speak to groups of employees to help them best utilize BBB services.

WISE GIVING GUIDES are available through the BBB’s charitable solicitation program. These guides provide helpful facts about charities and organizations asking for donations. This information is helpful in making wise giving decisions.

MEMBER REPORTS are provided by the BBB to anyone inquiring through the BBB office. The reports clearly state if a company is a BBB member. A recent Roper poll found that 85% of adult Americans prefer to do business with a BBB member.

TYPE OF BUSINESS ROSTERS are also provided to inquirers looking for a BBB member in a specific type of business. These rosters are available by fax, phone, or on our website.

TAX DEDUCTION is permitted by the IRS for BBB membership dues. The U.S. government recognizes that support of the Better Business Bureau is a reasonable and necessary business expense.
